With a modest start in 1994 in a small village house in a typical Indian countryside producing dried Tibetan noodles for local market, today, Amdo has reached a level of making European standard noodles under HACCP compliant conditions for retail in Europe and Australia
With the support of our principal patron and buyer foundation Fair trade Original Netherlands,we have been able to establish food safety norms, supply chain integration, fairtrade principles and social compliance audited as per EFTA norms.
Today, besides domestic market in India, our products are sold in Worldshops (wereldwinkels), Fair trade shops and Supermarkets in Netherlands as well as Oxfam shops in Belgium and Australia. We Produce and pack noodles in their brand.
We look for more associations in domestic conventional retail and for exports in Fairtrade circles and other global Ethical Trade initiatives.

Mr. Chodak Gyatso, a Tibetan Refugee started a small set-up in his village house in 1994 because he had 21 years of prior hard core experience and expertise in noodle making and it was the only logical way to earn a living.
Mr. Chodak always carried a deep concern about people and environment and this philosophy continues.......
